The Go Direct Ion-Sensitive Electrode Amplifier (SE158040) is a mV and mg/L amplifier that offers an affordable way to expand your experiment options. Its BNC connector allows students to easily remove and attach various ion-selective electrodes, such as the Go Direct Range of Calcium/ Chloride/ Potassium/ Ammonium/ Nitrate Ion-Sensitive Electrodes. Note - electrodes cannot be used without amplifier (supplied seperately).
Because the Go Direct Electrode Amplifier is compatible with third-party electrodes, students learn consistent calibration and handling techniques on one amplifier using one software program. When electrodes expire or become damaged you need only replace the electrode—lowering your overall equipment costs.
Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are: The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation. Monitor battery life directly from our free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.
Wired or Wireless—The Flexibility to Choose: Our Go Direct sensors connect directly to your mobile device, Chromebook™, or computer using our free Graphical Analysis™ 4 app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. Go Direct sensors can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.
Important: Ion-Selective Electrodes require good chemical technique and careful calibration to obtain accurate results; they are not recommended for middle school or elementary students.
The Go Direct Calcium ISE can be used to measure the concentration of calcium (Ca2+) in aqueous samples. Data can give a good indication of the hardness of water (as Ca2+).
The Go Direct Chloride ISE is used to measure the concentration of chloride (Cl-) in aqueous samples, giving a quick measurement of the salinity of water samples. Use the Go Direct Chloride Ion-Selective Electrode to wirelessly measure chloride levels in ocean saltwater or salt in food samples.
The Go Direct Potassium ISE can be used to measure the concentration of potassium (K+) ions in aqueous solutions.
The Go Direct Ammonium ISE can be used to measure the concentration of ammonium (NH4+) in aqueous samples. Wirelessly measure levels of ammonium ions introduced from fertilizers or aqueous ammonia levels (if sample solutions are acidified to convert NH3 to NH4+).
The Go Direct Nitrate ISE can be used to measure the concentration of nitrate (NO3-) in aqueous samples as mV or mg/L. Nitrate concentration, which can be increased by acidic rainfall, fertilizer runoff from fields, and plant or animal decay or waste, is an important parameter in nearly all water quality studies.
