Visking membranes are cellulose based tubing which has a selective porosity and is therefore widely used where osmosis and filtration are employed. The membranes are easy to use and offer a cost effective separation tool.
Molecular Weight Cut-Off (MWCO) is 12000 to 14000 daltons (it is always advisable to use a membrane with a cut off well below the molecular weight of the molecule to be retained)
Pore size of all tubing is 24 angstrom
